About the Image Rotator

The Image Rotator runs entirely in your browser. Use the 90°, 180°, or 270° buttons for a quick clockwise rotation, or enter any custom angle (in degrees, negative values rotate counter-clockwise) and click Apply custom. Quick rotations expand or shrink the canvas to match the new orientation, preserving the whole image. Custom-angle rotation pivots around the image center and keeps the same canvas dimensions, so corners may be clipped. Nothing is uploaded; all processing is local.

How to use it

1. Click the drop zone or drop an image file onto it.
2. Tap a quick-rotate button for 90°/180°/270°, or enter a custom angle and click Apply custom.
3. Click Download to save, Reset to restore, or Clear to start over.

Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between quick and custom rotation? Quick rotations rotate by exactly 90/180/270 degrees and resize the canvas so nothing is cut off. Custom rotations can use any angle but rotate around the center with the original canvas size, so corners may be clipped.

Can I rotate multiple times? Yes. Each rotation works on the current canvas, so successive rotations compound. Use Reset to return to the original.

What is the output format? The download is a PNG file, preserving detail without compression artifacts.

Does this tool upload my images? No. All processing happens locally in your browser.
